Week 6 Rankings
Big changes this week. A couple top ranked teams finally tumble and a couple new guys come up to replace them.
1) Rednecks: Have continued to get better since week 2 low point. Have won 3 in a row since the defense came alive in week 4. If Larry Johnson can provide at least average pts this team is back. Up 8.
2) Flannel: If Flannel can get a RB healthy Rednecks may just be keeping that number 1 ranking warm for Flannel. They've won a lot of close games, but they've only had 1 bad game all year. The offense scored 58 last week without a RB. Up 1.
3) Drow: Was week 5's 50 pts the aberration or was week 6's 97 pts the dead cat bounce? They've scored 80 or more pts 3 of their last 4 games. Jones-Drew may be the key to the future of this team. Up 5.
4) Malleus: The continual tweeking is keeping this team from bottoming out any one week and that keeps them in every game. If McGahee can continue to slog out average performances and their QBs stay hot they will be even tougher when their WRs get healthy. Up 2.
5) Beavers: More like 4b. McNabb is my concern here. Peterson looks like he can carry the team every other week or so, but help would be nice. Steve Smith and Calvin Johnson recovering from David Carr and injury respectively will help too. No change.
6) Capo: Capo's had two tough weeks, but week 5 was really their only bad game. Sporadic play from their QBs and a down period for Moss and Owens has contributed, but if Brees is back this team will be back. Down 5.
7) Ramjets: Week 5's win was well deserved but didn't prove anything to us. This week was Eli's second decent game in a row. And Braylon Edwards looks like he's for real. Ramjets may be done with the basement of FLOF. Up 5.
8) Old No. 7: Their death spiral has closely matched the play of Pennington. They could have the RBs and WRs to recover, but QB play will be a concern. Down 4.
9) Hamburglers: This week could be rough with Tomlinson on bye, but the Tomlinson-Rothlisburger combo might just work for the rest of the season. This team isn't done yet. Up 1.
10) Brawlers: The last three games for this team have been ugly, under 45 pts each time out. But Favre will eventually get better match-ups and Westbrook is healthy again so this team still has hope. Up 1.
11) Bill: I'm not sure Bill has any hope left. Alexander is getting worse every week and now Carson Palmer is struggling. If Kansas City can hold Palmer to average there may not be any more explosive match-ups for him. Down 9.
12) Mimes: Gore and Rivers continue to struggle. Mimes scored 30 and 32 pts total in two of their last three games, including last week's season low 15 offensive pts. Down 5.

I like how I have a 5.5 point lead in the power rankings, yet I am rated 5th. I call shenanigans!
Power rankings smower rankings. Who came up with that crap anyways.
