Week 4 Notes
Player of the Week Peyton Manning was the biggest reason for victory for Flannel even though it took some late bad play from Goat of the Week Carson Palmer to get the win. Carson came in with a 4 pt cushion and only had to outscore a kicker and sketchy WR, but he came up with only 6 pts, 13 below is season average. This was Peyton's 6th PoW award, tied for most in a FLOF career with Marshall Faulk.
OPoW, Romo's 33 pts were the 3rd most by any player this year. DPoW, Peterson's 22 were the 3rd most by a defensive player this year. This was Drow's 3rd DPoW award already this season and the 2nd for Peterson this year.
After 4 games, scores are up 9 pts on average from last year and 7 pts at the median. However if you throw out a crazy week 2, scores are only up 5 pts on average from last year. Offense explains almost all the increase up 7 pts on average and 9 pts at the median. Interestingly defense is down 2 pts at the median but has seen bigger highs and is up 1 pt on average.
Bill's defense gets credit for being the most consistently excellent outfit, scoring no less then 25 pts every outing.
This was Mimes' 4 consecutive loss at home going back to the end of last season.
