Week 5 Notes
Aaron Ross scored as many points as any offensive player this week and helped the Beavers bounce back from consecutive losses with 25 pts... helping blank the Hamburglers and winning both the Player of the Week and DPoW awards this week. In a down week for the offenses, two kickers get the nod for Offensive players of the week: Nick Folk and Jay Feely scored more then all but 2 other offensive players this week and both led their teams in scoring. Nick Folk was the first Malleus player honored with a Player of the Week award.
While persuasive arguments have been made that Romo should be the Goat this week, Matt Hassellback gets the nod when his 0 pts leave Drow hanging in a 13 - 0 shutout against the Ramjets.
The Beavers and Old No. 7 have niether lost outside their division and nor won inside it. The Brawlers and Drow have won both division games but none of their other games. Ramjets are now 2-0 against the Left Division and 0-3 against everyone else.
In addition to being Flannel's 5th in a row this season, the win was also their 5th consecutive home game without a loss, dating back to the end of 2006.
