Week 2 Notes
Malleus' consecutive ties are the first in FLOF history. Mimes' 63 defensive pts are the second most ever scored (Export Flannel scored 66 in 2002). Beavers' 53 defensive pts rank 5th all time.
Carson Palmer's 42 pt game ties for the 3rd best game in FLOF history (bettered by Portis' 46 in 2003 and Alexander's 43 in 2002) and ties for best ever by a QB (with Garcia from 2003).
Darren Sharper's 24 pts were not on the scale of Palmer's 42, but helped lead a 15 pt Mime victory on the strength of the 2nd largest defensive score ever just garnering Sharper DPoW honors for the second time in his career and PoW honors for the first time.
It may seem like I'm picking on Brawlers with the Goat of the Week award but its partly because he's been in two close games. In this game he went into Monday night tied with Malleus but had a Bunkley left to play. 2 tackles would have pushed this game in Brawlers' favor. A pass defense? No, Bunkley gets 1 tackle and the game ends as a tie.
