Week 3: Beavers Buskwhacked; Drow Overcome Mimes; Flannel cover Rednecks; Malleus don't tie!
The Left Division tightened up this week with both the Beavers and Mimes falling to previously winless teams. "Not so fast," says the Middle Division after winning 3 out of 4 against the Right. Only 3-0 Flannel escaped unharmed.
18 Beavers (2-1) at 53 Brawlers (1-1-1)
The Brawler offense stayed on top this week led by Favre and Roy Williams and last week's Goat of the Week, Brodrick Bunkley came up with 2 sacks as the Brawler D stiffled a Beaver offense that could not compliment McNabb's break-out game. Beavers stay atop the Left but saw the division tighten up this week with Brawlers only 1/2 game back.
Vegas Line: Beavers by 3
Next week: Beavers host Drow; Brawlers visit Mimes
26 Mimes (1-2) at 42 Drow (1-2)
Mimes rallied to an early lead after news of their patron saints' death broke. But then Keith Bulluck picked off three passes on Monday Night to make this game look like a blow-out. Drow pulled even with Mimes and within a game of the league leaders.
Vegas Line: Drow by 4
Next week: Drow at Beavers; Mimes host Beavers
32 Rednecks (1-2) at 39 Flannel (3-0)
Rednecks actually played well, led by Tom Brady's 29 pts, but Flannel just outplayed them on both sides of the ball for their 3rd win in 3 tries and a bigger lead in the Right Division. Rednecks fell from first to last in their division this week but remain only a game back.
Vegas Line: Flannel by 6
Next week: Rednecks host Ramjets and Flannel visit Bill
31 Malleus (1-0-2) at 19 Hamburglers (1-2)
Malleus doesn't tie! Kitna led the offense for Malleus despite 3 turn overs. Hamburglers' offense was actually led by LT, finally but to no good affect. Malleus keeps a share of the division lead with their first decision while Hamburglers fall farther behind Flannel.
Vegas Line: pick 'em
Next week: Malleus hosts Capo; Hamburglers visit Old No. 7
49 Old No. 7 (2-1) at 29 Capo (1-2)
Capo very much had a shot to win this game on Monday Night, but then Drew Bress turned the ball over 5 times and scored -8 pts for Goat of the Week honors and another Capo loss. Old No.7 keeps a share of their division lead.
Vegas Line: Capo by 2
Next week: Old No. 7 host Hamburglers; Capo visits Malleus
19 Bill (1-1-1) at 14 Ramjets (1-2)
Bill played down to their record this week, but were saved by their defense. Ramjets almost got lucky again, but Stover's team leading 16 pts weren't enough to overcome a 12 pt defensive effort.
Vegas Line: Bill by 3.5
Next week: Bill hosts Flannel; Ramjets visit Rednecks
