Week 2: CAPO tops NY; Beavers pummel Rednecks
Flannel secured their early division lead while Capo kept the rest of the Right Division only 1 game back. Led by the Beavers, the Left Division took it to the middle division. Well, except for the Drow. Whose running that team, anyways?
Capo 47 @ Hamburglers 11
These two teams fought most of last year for the Division Crown with Capo edging out Hamburglers by 1/2 of a game despite Hamburgler winning both head to head. Capo made up for last year's losses and last week's with a solid win. Nearly every player on Capo's roster had good games while Hamburglers got as many TDs on defense as offense. Both teams even their records at 1-1.
Vegas Line: even
Next Week: Capo host Old No. 7; Hamburglers host Malleus
Flannel 16 @ Ramjets 5
Flannel didn't blow anyone away with this game, but it was a decent performance and clearly good enough for a win over a Ramjet offense still finding its way. Flannel find themselves alone at the top of the Right Division, but everyone else, Ramjets included, are only 1 game back.
Vegas Line: Flannel by 7
Next Week: Flannel host Rednecks; Ramjets host Bill
Beavers 54 @ Rednecks 0
The Beaver offense is rolling. And did you see the D? Rednecks offense actually put up some points... or would have if Beavers hadn't hung 53 on defense. Given their division, Beavers could have this locked up by Halloween. Rednecks remained in a weird 3-way tie for first in the Middle after this game.
Vegas Line: Beavers by 1.5
Next Week: Beavers at Brawlers; Rednecks at Flannel
Drow 12 @ Old No. 7 60
Old No 7 found their offense. Drow continued to plod along. Chad Johnson and Jake Delhomme put up big numbers and that pretty much ended it. Old No. 7 pull into a 3-way tie for first in the Middle while Drow fall toward the Toilet Bowl.
Vegas Line: Drow by 5.5
Next Week: Drow host Mimes; Old No. 7 at Capo
Brawlers 40 @ Malleus 40
Brawlers put up a solid effort this week. Malleus did too, again. And another tie? In maybe the weirdest opening in team history. Malleus have played two games now and haven't won or lost either. And find themselves tied for first in their division!
Vegas Line: Malleus by 6
Next Week: Brawlers host Beavers; Malleus at Hamburglers
Mimes 24 @ Bill 9
Bill may be 0-1-1 but they've now played two games they could have won. This week the culprit was an other-worldly 63-pt defensive effort by Mimes. Despite all that Bill remains only 1/2 game behind his division leaders while Mimes stay 1 game behind Beavers in the Left.
Vegas Line: Bill by 7.5
Next week: Mimes at Drow; Bill at Ramjets
