Week 6 Recap

Better this week for me, as I correctly picked 4 winners vs. the computer’s 3. In case anyone is bothering to keep track.

Hamburglers down Rednecks

Computer and I said Hamburglers. Me 1: computer 1.

What I got right: The offense was pretty much even and the defense did decide the game.

What I got wrong: The final score was way off.

The Good: Paul Poslusny came up big for the Hamburglers with a pick-6 on Manning. It was the game clincher.

The Bad: Richardson continues to be a huge disappointment.

The Ugly: The WR position has been pretty much carrying the Rednecks, but not this week with a 3 combined points against defenses that were supposed to be giving up the points.

Mimes blasted by Bill

Computer said Mimes, I thought Bill. Me 2: computer 1.

What I got right: Pretty much just the winner.

What I got wrong: It was a defensive struggle. Only for the Mimes though.

The Good: Cam Newton returned in a big way. Will it last?

The Bad: The defensive only posted 11 points for the Mimes, well off their season average. Not that it would have helped much.

The Ugly: Then again, the Mimes didn't bother with a full roster on D anyway.

Bronies cruise past No. 7

Computer said No. 7, as did I. Me 2: computer 1.

What I got right: The Bronies final score.

What I got wrong: Pretty much everything else.

The Good: The defense for the Bronies.

The Bad: The defense for No. 7.

The Ugly: After weeks of posting an absurd amount of points, Manning posted ‘only’ 16 points this week. The WR was no help either for No 7.  

Maniacs edge Malleus

Computer said Malleus and I agreed. Me 2: computer 1.

What I got right: Lynch was big in this game. Outside of McCourty, the D did nothing for Maniacs.

What I got wrong: Again, pretty much everything else.

The Good: Overall offensive effort from Maniacs.

The Bad: Brees and Forte wasn't a more formidable combo than the last 2 players to hold down the position for Malleus.

The Ugly: Defense continues to be a glaring weakness for Maniacs. You can’t count on 20 points from 1 player every week on that side of the ball.

Drow blanks Capo

Computer and I both picked Drow. Me 3: computer 2.

What I got right: The winner.

What I got wrong: It wasn't the shootout I expected.

The Good: The Drow defense saved the day again. Not what you’d expect with the names on the offense.

The Bad: The Capo offense. Rivers and Rice did nothing.

The Ugly: I’m sure it is nice to be undefeated, but Drow has to be worried about his offense. The D cannot carry every game. Can it?

Lagers destroy Dynasty

Computer and I both picked Lagers. Me 4: computer 3.

What I got right: Pretty much nailed this one, from the score, to the winner.

What I got wrong: The final Dynasty score.

The Good: Stafford and Foster looked really good. Jennings was huge.

The Bad: Eli Manning. All year so far.

The Ugly: Actually, 31 points wasn't a bad defensive showing for Dynasty. Too bad the offense didn't follow suit.
