Week 3 Preview

This week the computer and I agree on 4 of the 6 contest. For the record, I am 9 of 12 on the year.

Dynasty (2-0) @ Mighty Midtowne Mimes (1-1)

Dynasty got a nice head start last night, thanks to McCoy. The Mimes counter with Bowe in that game, who did nothing. Looking ahead to the weekend, I don’t see Darin’s squad keeping pace.

Prediction:  Dynasty improves to 3-0

Capo Di Tutti Capi (1-1) @ N.Y. Hamburglers (1-1)

Another solid effort turned in from the other RB in last night’s tilt. After reviewing the match ups, I actually think this will be a close game, but I do like Jamie’s squad to come out ahead here.

Prediction:  Hamburglers protect home field.

Old No. 7 (0-2) @ Bill's Team (1-1)

Jason’s No.7 team is a confusing 0-2, despite being near the top in the Power Rankings. I think that changes this weekend against a Bill team struggling to field an offense this year.

Prediction: Old No. 7 finally gets a win.

Malleus Maleficarum (0-2) @ Rednecks (1-1)

Last night’s great opening shot from Eric Berry was blunted by a poor Vick outing for the Rednecks. For some reason I cannot help but feel like Brady will come out on fire this weekend, against a TB squad he usually dominates. I think that will be the difference in this game.

Prediction:  Malleus breaks into the win column in a squeaker.

Drow (2-0) @ Medicine Hat Bronies (1-1)

Something of a trap game for Doug. I think if Mike can put together a decent defensive effort, this week the Drow could be had. I don’t think it will happen though.

Prediction:  Drow wins in a closer-than-you-think-it-would-be game.

Massaponnax Maniacs (1-1) @ Iron City Lagers (1-1)

This game is my pick for the highest overall scoring. Looking at the match ups, I think this game will be decided by who fields the best defense. For that reason, I am going to take the Lagers here.

Prediction:  Lagers move to 2-1.
