Week 5 Recap
Bad week for me and the computer this week
as I only correctly picked the winner in 1 contest correctly, versus the
computer’s 2. I was correct about the Lagers/Hamburglers game being a shootout
though.
Bill
bashes Maniacs
Computer and I said Maniacs. Me 0:
computer 0.
The Good: The defense carried the day for
Bill, with 28 points from the DB position.
The Bad: Speaking of defense, the Maniacs
only managed 4 points of it.
The Ugly: Even with the win, the continued
poor performance from Cam Newton has to worrying Bill.
Bronies
baked at Rednecks
Computer said Bronies, as did I. Me 0:
computer 0.
The Good: Dez Bryant is playing like a #1 pick.
The Bad: Alex Smith was not that great
this week.
The Ugly: The Rednecks just caught the
Bronies on a bad day. The Bronies have been averaging 80 points per contest:
this week was 64.
Capo
concedes to No.7
Computer said No. 7, and I thought Capo.
Me 0: computer 1.
The Good: Payton Manning continues to rack
up points. Old No. 7 is finally starting to play like the team they look like
on paper.
The Bad: Capo got next to nothing from his
defense.
The Ugly: Footnote to the Capo D this
week, 0 points from both DB’s.
Dynasty
drops Malleus
Computer said Malleus and I agreed. Me 0:
computer 1.
The Good: Overall offensive effort from
Dynasty.
The Bad: Tom Brady. Ouch.
The Ugly: Outside Rice and Prater, the
rest of the offense combine for 0 points for Malleus. A little more production
from the DB’s wouldn't hurt either.
Drow
downs Mimes
Computer and I both picked Drow. Me 1:
computer 2.
The Good: With Rodgers on the squad, you wouldn't think he was outscored by a kicker. Good defensive effort again from Drow, who
has the top defense, according to the power rankings.
The Bad: Everyone on the Mimes squad not
named Crosby.
The Ugly: Not so much ugly as interesting:
the kicker position was the highest scoring position for both squads.
Lagers
lose to Hamburglers
Computer and I both picked Lagers. Me 1:
computer 2.
The Good: T.Y. Hilton was huge this week.
The Bad: Foster and Stafford combine for
15 points this week.
The Ugly: Lagers lost by 11. It could have
been worse if Hamburglers bothered to start a full defensive lineup.

3 Comments:
No, I think having the kicker be the highest scoring player on both teams qualifies as ugly.
It was ugly AND interesting....
True.
