Week 6 Awards
Player of the Week
Mario Williams really likes his new digs with Malleus. In fact he put up 14 pts as pretty much the only standout for Malleus in a shut-out win this week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Philip Rivers scored 27 this week and is the first player to break 100 on the season. Mimes' QB also has the best pts/gm average so far.
Defensive Player of the Week
Quentin Jammer scored 20 as the leader of the pile-on that provided Ramjets first win of the season.
Goat of the Week
Michael Turner has been averaging 16.6 per FLOF game. He put up 3 points and Buffalo lost to a Malleus team that scored only 21 pts on offense this week.
Bench Player of the Week
Some good candidates this week. Thomas Jones scored 22 pts on the bench for Beavers. Starter Adrian Peterson scored only 1 pt. But Beavers lost by so much this would not have mattered. Marvin Harrison put up 16 pts from Old No. 7's bench while Robert Meachem put up the goose egg from the starting line up. Old No. 7 lost that game by 8.
But Maurice Jones-Drew was watching while Goat of the Week Michael Turner scored 3 pts to Jones-Drew's 23. That extra 20 pts almost would have covered the spread. And John gets bonus points for the Goat-Bench Combo. Go John!
