Week 4 Rankings: Flannel Keep on Trucking
1. Flannel, no change
I'm not looking it up, but this might be a record for consecutive weeks at #1 for any team (3). This defense is one for the ages. They haven't scored fewer then 25 points all season and they've scored 35 or more 3 times.
2. Mimes, up 1
Mimes and Bill are really 2a and 2b. In fact, they both scored 66 total points this week ... and 96 the week before ... and both scored 63 in week 1. In week 2 Mimes scored 103 to Bill's 97. Oh and did any one else notice that Philip Rivers is currently leading FLOF in points scored?
3. Bill's Team, down 1
Carson Palmer was an unexpected scratch for Bill (then again, why wasn't Jason Campbell starting?) and the offense tanked, but the defense came through big time to prove that Bill's got some balance.
4. Old No. 7, up 1
They may have lost, but they did not look horrible doing it. The offense continues to crank out respectable games week-in and week-out. The defense could stand to be a bit more consistent though.
5. Drow, up 1
Drow bounced back from a poor showing last week. The offense wasn't horrible, but this win was all about the defense putting together another dominant performance after taking last week off.
6. Buffalo Bills, down 2
This might be one of those teams that teases with some good games and then periodically follows them up with real stinkers... like this week's 23 pt offensive outing. Ouch.
7. CAPO, no change
The offense has largely been doing OK, but their defense just doesn't seem to have an impact. After posting 36 points in week 1, they haven't scored more then 20 and this week 14 in a crucial divisional game.
8. Beavers, up 1
This could be another team that goes up and down a lot from week to week. After putting up 32 points last week, they bounce back with 80 points this week and their best game of the season.
9. Ramjets, down 1
Ramjets haven't really done much wrong the last bunch of weeks, but they also haven't done anything spectacular either. That's a recipe for mediocrity in FLOF unless you get lucky and so far, lucky that has not been in the Ramjets' vocabulary.
10. Hamburglers, up 1
Was that an offense we just saw? Did the sleeping giant wake up? Going from 16 offensive pts to 62 in one week must mean that one of those scores is an abberation. Lets see which is which...
11. Malleus, down 1
Last year Malleus managed to coax a wounded roster to just shy of respectibility. This year, they might be lucky to stay out of the basement of the rankings. Every once in a while they show a little life, like this week, but that isn't enough for more then the occasional lucky win.
12. Brawlers, no change
The defense contributed their 3rd game this season with 10 or fewer points. If Favre can keep this up and Westbrook can get healthy Brawlers can leave the basement. If not, its week 3 and counting at the bottom of the list.
