Week 5 Preview
2-2 Mimes @ 3-1 Beavers
Beavers keep finding ways to snub their noses at their middling ranking with only a single blemish to their record so far. Mimes have struggled to convert some of their good scores into wins. I keep saying that Mimes are the most talented team in the Left Division right now, but if they lose this game they could be third in the division and 3 games out of the lead.
Vegas Line: Mimes by 5.5
0-4 Brawlers @ 4-0 Drow
Both teams have a chance to keep their streaks going this week. Brawlers, of course, would rather not. A week after Favre regained his 2007 form, he will have to sit with his bye. So it will be up to Westbrook to drive Brawlers to the upset for their first win of the season. Either that or Drow will finally figure out that they really aren't this good.
Vegas Line: Drow by 20
2-2 Capo @ 4-0 Bill
Capo faces their second game in a row against an undefeated opponent. Last week they had Flannel dead to rights before James Harrison stole that win from them. This week they have to deal with a fully manned Bill's Team. Oh, and next week they might face their 3rd undefeated team in a row. Poor Capo.
Vegas Line: Bill by 6
1-3 Hamburglers @ 2-2 Old No. 7
Are the Hamburglers going to realize their pre-season hype or will they continue to dig their early season hole? Old No. 7 must deal with a few bye-week roster issues which could give Hamburglers just enough to climb back into contention.
Vegas Line: Old No. 7 by 3.5
0-4 Ramjets @ 1-3 Buffalo Bills
Must win game for both teams? Both teams could easily have better records but both have lost tough games when they played well and neither can really afford to wait much longer to make their run at this season.
Vegas Line: Buffalo Bills by 15
4-0 Flannel @ 1-3 Malleus
The records do not look as lopsided as the Drow-Brawlers game, but Flannel really are 4-0 worthy and Malleus looks to be in full rebuilding mode. So while I could see Drow succumbing to the Vegas Line curse, I think this one is pretty safe.
