Week 9 Rankings: Capo, Flannel a Cut Above
Another week, more unresolved issues. Capo and Flannel have started to look like the Patriots and Colts of FLOF (in no particular order). #3 Rednecks through (dare I say it?) #6 Brawlers remain a cut above the rest of the league but have their flaws. Drow and Malleus still can hope, but haven't shown much spark lately. #9 Ramjets now straddle that line between the pretenders above and the hopeless that begin with #10 Bill.
1) Capo. Flannel hasn't done anything wrong over the last 4 weeks. But Capo's three week run of 100 pt games is reminiscent of Hamburglers' run last year. Right this second, I'd rather play Flannel then Capo. Up 2. [Last 4 games grade: A+, Offense A+, Defense A]
2) Flannel. So last week might have been Manning and Addai's toughest match-up all season and Flannel still scored 55 offensive pts. If it takes me more then 5 minutes to write this post, Flannel might be #1 again. Down 1. [Grades: A, Offense A, Defense A]
3) Beavers. I got to figure they can only get so far with one guy producing pts on offense. But if he goes for 40 a night, Beavers will still win more then they lose. Their defense actually helps them get the nod over Rednecks for this spot. Up 1. [Grades: B, Offense A-, Defense B]
4) Rednecks. Losing L.J. makes this offense a 1 trick pony, again. And the pony goes on vacation next week. Down 2. [Grades: A, Offense A, Defense C-]
5) Hamburglers. Their offense has two playmakers with Ben + which ever RB looks good this week. But the lack of defense has been hurting them. No change. [Grades: B-, Offense A, Defense F-]
6) Brawlers. Over the last two weeks, this has been the 3rd best team in FLOF. Seriously. Favre suddenly has help with Westbrook and Colston. If the defense comes to life, look out.
Up 3. [Grades: D+, Offense B-, Defense F-]
7) Drow. The offense continues its struggles. Now the defense has started to falter just in time for games against Capo and Rednecks. Down 1. [Grades: C, Offense B-, Defense F-]
8) Malleus. The offense has reverted to its plodding ways, wasting improved consistency from the defense. Down 1. [Grades: C, Offense C-, Defense C+]
9) Ramjets. The father away it gets, the more I wonder how the Ramjets scored 113 pts in week 6. The defense keeps coming to play but the offense gets worse every week. Down 1. [Grades: C-, Offense C-, Defense A]
10) Bill. Hey, that looked like a pulse. Bill's first decent effort since week 4 AND it was driven by the offense AND they got a win out of it. Up 2. [Grades: D+, Offense C-, Defense C]
11) Mimes. Somehow, the defense has gotten worse every week for the last 5. Down 1. [Grades: D-, Offense C-, Defense F+]
12) Old No. 7. Two straight really, really bad outings. I know they're 5-4 still, but unfortunately for them there are still 5 more opportunities left to lose games. Down 1. [Grades: D-, Offense F, Defense B]
