Week 8 Rankings
There seem to be three classes of FLOF citizen right now. No team is perfect but #1 Flannel through #5 Hamburglers look like tough games much more often then not. The pretenders start with #6 Drow and run through #8 Ramjets. The hopeless start at #10 Mimes. #9 Brawlers have one foot in the pretender camp and one in the hopeless camp.
1) Flannel: I mentioned a couple weeks ago that this team was a healthy RB away from regaining the #1 ranking. Hello Addai. Up 1. [Last 4 game grade: B, Offense B, Defense C]
2) Rednecks: Inconsistency outside Brady is making it harder on them then it should be. I know they grade out better then Flannel, but Flannel is on the up swing. Down 1. [Grade: A, Offense B, Defense C]
3) Capo: That's two weeks in a row with the crazy scores on both sides of the ball. Up 1. [Grade: B, Offense B, Defense B]
4) Beavers: Steve moves up this week despite his griping and this week's ugly win. But look out for Hamburglers next week. Up 1. [Grade: C+, Offense C-, Defense C+]
5) Hamburglers: This offense is clicking. Too bad their defense has scored less then Mike Vrabel over the last three weeks. Up 1. [Grade: C+, Offense B, Defense F-]
6) Drow: Here begins the second tier of FLOF. Last week was a tough bye-week for Drow but their next three games area against teams above them in these rankings. Down 3. [Grade: C, Offense C-, Defense C]
7) Malleus: Not much separates Malleus from the two teams around them here. They recovered from their first bad game 2 weeks ago but had a tough draw. Down 1. [Grade C, Offense C, Defense C-]
8) Ramjets: That week 6 explosion is looking more and more like an aberration. Down 1. [Grade C, Offense C-, Defense B]
9) Brawlers: Is Favre back? Westbrook contributed too. And a Colston sighting! If those three play like they can Brawlers can climb out of the basement of these rankings. The team grade still sucks, but this ranking is based on hope. Up 3. [Grade F, Offense D, Defense F]
10) Mimes: Last week's offense disappeared as quickly as it appeared. No change. [Grade D, Offense C-, Defense D]
11) Old No. 7: So much for the Griese as savior movement. Down 2. [Grade D, Offense F, Defense C+]
12) Bill: That's the best offense we've seen from them since week 4, but it still wasn't good enough. No change. [Grade D, Offense D, Defense F]
