Week 8: Beavers find 1st division win; Hamburglers out-gun Rednecks; Old No. 7 spurns K, win; Capo, Brawlers, Flannel romp
Beavers pick up their first division win and a 2-game lead after Brawlers knocked Drow back to earth. Meanwhile the Right Division sweeps the Middle.
(6-2) Beavers 23 @ (2-6) Mimes 16
Beavers were lucky to get out of Midtowne with the win, but they did and extend their division lead to 2 games with Drow's loss. Mimes fall 4 games under .500 with only 6 games left in the season.

Next week: Beavers host Ramjets; Mimes host Flannel
(4-4) Drow 25 @ (3-4-1) Brawlers 61
Drow never did find a QB, but Brawlers did. Favre returned to his early season form, but by Monday night he was just performing mop-up duty as Westbrook and Colston had already outpaced a poor Drow effort.

Next week: Drow host Hamburglers; Brawlers host Capo
(5-3) Rednecks 43 @ (3-5) Hamburglers 53
Neither team's defense showed up, but the offenses went wild. Well Brady scored a lot of points for the Redneck's but he couldn't win all by himself against multiple good scores from Hamburgler players.

Next week: Rednecks host Malleus; Hamburglers visit Murrysville
(2-4-2) Malleus 0 @ (7-1) Flannel 47
Was that a RB I saw in the Flannel backfield? Addai returns with a big game but gets overshadowed by Mike Vrabel's 36 pts -- the best defensive player game ever in FLOF. And to think that I secretly complained that he paid too much for a below average DF and made me take 7 e-mails to talk Haydn down from asking for a #1 pick for Rhodes.

(5-3) Old No. 7 4 @ (4-4) Ramjets 19
Could Old No. 7 have used a kicker? Maybe they were smart to stay out of a bidding war, Griese's -1 and little support from their other skill players dug a whole a kicker would have been unlikely to get them out of. Meanwhile Braylon Edwards is quietly having himself a big season.

Next week: Old No. 7 at Bill; Ramjets at Beavers
(1-6-1) Bill 11 @ (4-4) Capo 58
Bill scored less then 60 again while Capo exploded for over 100. Mostly due to 34 from Drew Brees. That's a couple games in a row for Brees who also got support from Lee Evans and a solid defensive effort.

I reckon that with my victory this week I will fall on the rankings to 6th or 7th.
