Week 7 Rankings, Week 8 and Playoff Predictions

Bronies were the big gainer this week.  Their EWP went up 11% and they cracked the top 4 in the rankings after logging the best result of week 7 by far to replace their stinker in week 3.  Old No. 7's rankings finally are matching their record after they took an 18% dive in EWP and fell 5 spots to 10th.

At the halfway mark of the season, lets look closer at the computer's predictions for the rest of the season.

Left Division:
This has been the power division this year and right now projects to have 3 teams in the playoffs.  Although Drow have been slipping some in the rankings, they are still projected to win the division mostly because they are already 3 games up on Lagers and Bronies.  Lagers or Bronies would almost have to win out at this point or have Drow collapse to win the division.  That will leave Lagers and Bronies with the top 2 wild card spots.

Middle Division
This division has been weird all year.  Right now the bottom three spots in the rankings belong to Middle division teams... and they are all ranked in inverse order of current record.  Despite the fact that Dynasty has not been very good lately, they are still projected to win the division because they are 2.5 games above Malleus who is the only team in this division that is ranked significantly higher than Dynasty.  The computer thinks Dynasty will win 2-3 more games while Malleus is projected to win 4 more games and Capo could win 3 more games.  Just Two more wins from Dynasty could be enough for them unless someone else in the division goes on a major run.

Right
The Right has been better overall than the computer thought in the pre-season but it is shaping up to be a two team fight for the division between Bill and Hamburglers.  The computer likes Hamburglers to take the division and 2-seed in the playoffs leaving Bill with the last wild card spot (because it predicts Bronies will beat Bill head-to-head later this year).  But this is a very close division projection.  If Bill wins 4 or 5 games instead of just the 3 the computer predicts or Hamburglers drop 3 or 4 games instead of only 2 it could easily swing to the other team gaining the division crown.

Bronies (WC2) at Lagers (WC1) -- 60% projection for Lagers

Division Round:
Bill (WC3) at Drow (DIV1) -- 63% projection for Drow to win
Lagers (WC1) at Hamburglers (DIV2) -- 55% projection for Hamburglers to win

FLOF Bowl
Drow and Hamburglers -- harder to predict because of variable player availability but the computer likes Hamburglers (59%) if they can field close to their best players.
