Week 9 Preview
5-3 Beavers @ 7-1 Drow
The start of a home-and-home series that will decide who enters the home stretch as Left Division leader. This is the most revisited rivalry in FLOF. Beavers and Drow have meet 23 previous times. Drow lead the series 14-9 but Beavers swept the series last year.
Vegas Line: Drow by 8
5-3 Malleus @ 5-3 Capo
Malleus are on a league leading 4-game win streak while Capo have won three of their last four. Their recent surges have put both teams in ties with the faltering Bill and Flannel at the top of their respective divisions.
Vegas Line: Capo by 3.5
5-3 Bill's Team @ 5-3 Flannel
Both teams started out 4-0 and the toast of FLOF. Then they went 1-3 and the wolves have gone from circling to taking little nibbles here and there. Both are tied with the teams in the previous game for their division leads. Bill is scrambling to fill some roster holes this week.
Vegas Line: Flannel by 6
5-3 Mimes @ 1-7 Brawlers
Can the resurgent Brawler offense play spoiler and steal a game from Mimes during this home-and-home series? Mimes are looking for the sweep so that they can stay with whoever comes out of the Beaver-Drow series but they have to play this first game without Rivers or Gore.
Vegas Line: Mimes by 9.5
3-5 Old No. 7 @ 2-6 Ramjets
Must win game for Ramjets. Although an Old No. 7 loss could put them on the brink as well. Old No. 7 is only 2 games behind their division leaders so they might be able to survive another loss. A loss for Ramjets would means that 7-7 would be their best hope and could put them 4 games out of the division hunt.
Vegas Line: Ramjets by 5.5
3-5 Buffalo Bills @ 2-6 Hamburgers
On paper this is the exact same situation as above. Except that we all expect the good Buffalo to show up and crush the newly 12th ranked team in FLOF that is clearly planning for 2009. That removes a lot of the drama from the game.
