Week 7 Awards
Player of the Week
Facing one of the best defensive efforts of the year, Capo was in serious danger of a 0-0 tie. But Brandon Jacobs came to the rescue with a good game that barely gave Capo the win. Honorable mention to Randy Moss who was a big factor in Malleus' victory this week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Adrian Peterson bounced back from two really bad games for 22 pts. He was one of many reasons that Beavers ran wild this week. Honorable mention to Malleus' Randy Moss for a solid game this week.
Defensive Player of the Week
DeAngelo Hall was huge for a Mimes' defense trying to single-handedly keep Capo from a win. Honorable mention for Capo's LaMarr Woodley who helped keep what little Mime offense existed in this game from scoring.
Goat of the Week
Because of the large blow-outs this week there were not a ton of great candidates for this award, although I considered an offensive coordinator for the first time this season. But in the end Charles Tillman gets the award because just 1 tackle from him would have resulted in a tie for Mimes against Capo instead of the loss.
Bench Player of the Week
This was also a tough one this week. Few bench players would have made much of a difference in their team's results. In fact, I didn't find any meaningful ones. While Steven Jackson scored 29 points on Drow's bench, Earnest Graham did not embarrass himself on the field (9 pts) so this week we give it to Matt Cassel who scored 21 pts to Farve's 0.
