Week 8 Rankings: Brawlers Not Last

1. Drow, up 1
These top three teams are playing significantly better then the opposition over these last four games. But these days that means that each of them took a game off. For Drow it was week 4. But now they've rattled off two good games in a row on offense while the defense remains mostly in a funk.

2. Mimes, up 1
Mimes' bounced back from their game off with another solid outing that keeps them among the top ranked teams in FLOF.

3. Ramjets, down 2
Given the run the Ramjets have been on, we'll give them last week as their mulligan for now. Lets see if they bounce back next week or if the pressure of digging out of their early season whole is too much.

4. Capo, up 1
This week the offense powered the win. Capo quietly have a nice little run going and are the least prone to collapse of teams ranked four through seven that comprise the pack in these rankings.

5. Buffalo Bills, up 1
Last week was interesting. Even though they did put in a below average offense on an even numbered week as usual, the defense put together a huge effort and they came much closer to a consecutive win then they have all year.

6. Malleus, up 2
After winning two games they had no business winning, Malleus deserved the win this week and showed more life on offense then they have recently.

7. Beavers, down 3
The Beaver defense is keeping them in the hunt right now. Beavers did not so much fall 3 spots in this rankings as some other teams rose a little. Beavers are still solidly one of the second tier in the league right now.

8. Old No. 7, down 1
Old No. 7, on the other hand, are on the threshold of the basement of the FLOF rankings. After starting the season with 6 consecutive above average games, Old No. 7 have come up with two really bad outings with Romo hurt. Even a boost from Gerrard did not help enough this week.

9. Brawlers, up 3
After 6 consecutive weeks at the bottom of the rankings, Brawlers finally show enough life to move up. The offense put together their first complete game of the season. A couple more games like this might result in a second win.

10. Flannel, up 1
Peyton's game has to help the moral in Export. They also re-tooled big-time last week -- adding a bunch of pieces on offense to try to get back on track. The offense certainly responded with a good game. Rumors of Flannel's demise might be premature.

11. Bill's Team, down 2
This team has not been able to find a spark in weeks and their grasp on the Middle Division is slipping away. Bill no longer control their own destiny and now have to worry about holding on to a wild card spot.

12. Hamburglers, down 2
The offense is trying for the Hamburglers. Lets talk about the defense now. Three of the last four weeks they have scored 13 or less. Brawlers' defense has been better then this.
