Mid-Season Rankings

At the half-way mark somethings look very different and some things do not.  Malleus have built themselves into the top team in FLOF while Old No. 7 have slide from dominance to mediocrity.  Mimes and Drow remain a consistent threat while the Right Division largely remains inept.


Top Shelf
1. Malleus (no change)
Median EWP = 91%, Average EWP = 88%, StDev = 11%, Luck = +0.5 wins
Sure the offense has been good, but after week 2, the defense has been better and more consistent -- sparking a 5-game win streak.

2. Mimes (no change)
Median EWP = 77%, Average EWP = 72%, StDev = 17%, Luck = -1.4 wins

Best offensive team in the league over their last 4 games.  None of the bottom 5 teams in FLOF have a median offensive game over 40.  Mimes' median offense has been 61 despite a terrible week 6.  They also remain the unluckiest team in FLOF with only 1 win and 1 tie over this 4-game stretch.

3. Drow (no change)

Median EWP = 73%, Average EWP = 71%, StDev = 21%, Luck = -1.3 wins

The Drow offense has been a bit off recently although they got a big game last week so the defense and a lack of bad games has been keeping the team in this spot in the rankings.

More Good Than Bad

4. Lagers (no change)

Median EWP = 67%, Average EWP = 55%, StDev = 30%, Luck = +0.8 wins

Lagers were knocking on the door of the top tier teams and then stubbed their toe.  But they had to sit a lot of players last week and should be able to rebound.  That said, while Lagers have proven that they can be good, they have not shown dominance since week 2.

5. CAPO (up 2)

Median EWP = 63%, Average EWP = 56%, StDev = 29%, Luck = -0.7 wins

CAPO has been between solid and very good since their week 4 issue.  The offense has been particularly showing well over the last 3 games.

All Over the Place

6. Rednecks (down 1)

Median EWP = 46%, Average EWP = 55%, StDev = 22%, Luck = +0.8 wins

Rednecks could make an argument to be in the tier above.  Rednecks still have not had a really bad game this season, but their really good games start and end with week 5.

7. Beavers (down 1)

Median EWP = 47%, Average EWP = 51%, StDev = 33%, Luck = +0.9 wins

The next three teams have been the most inconsistent over the past 4 games.  For Beavers that issue is mostly on the defensive side of the ball.

8. Old No. 7 (no change)

Median EWP = 44%, Average EWP = 43%, StDev = 38%, Luck = -0.7 wins

Old No. 7 may be coming out of their funk.  They played well last week after having recorded 2 complete stinkers and played even better this weekend.  If they keep this up, they will start climbing back up these rankings.

9. Ramjets (up 1)

Median EWP = 33%, Average EWP = 37%, StDev = 33%, Luck = +0.0 wins

The defense here is very consistent and not very good still but the defense has played a lot better the last 3 games.

No Where to Go But Up

10. Hamburglers (up 1)

Median EWP = 28%, Average EWP = 24%, StDev = 10%, Luck = +1.0 wins

Luckiest team in FLOF over the last 4 games.  Their 2 wins came when scoring 62 total points.  Recently, this has been the worst offense in FLOF with a median of 32 points and pretty good consistency.

11. Flannel (up 1)

Median EWP = 25%, Average EWP = 23%, StDev = 18%, Luck = -0.4 wins

Flannel's offense isn't the worst in the league but their defense is close.  Their median defensive score of 18 is less then half Malleus' 42.

12. Bill (down 3)
Median EWP = 21%, Average EWP = 23%, StDev = 20%, Luck = +0.6 wins
Bill has been on-and-off all season, but while they showed punch with some good scores in weeks 1 and 3, they've shown little since.  The defense has been a big reason for this as they've faded consistently since week 3.  Over the last 4 weeks this has been the worst unit in FLOF with a median of only 16 pts.
