Week 5 Review
Mimes 27 - Drow 6
Mimes were on a 2-game losing streak despite playing very well but they managed to play the highest scoring team each of those 2 weeks. Not much changed for Mimes this week, but Drow did not score the most points of any team this week, so Mimes got back to winning. Drow did not play poorly, but against Mimes, just ok wasn't going to cut it. So Mimes and Drow are now 2 of the Left Divisions 3-2 teams.
Lagers 24 - Beavers 6
The Lager offense has been playing well since week 3's issues and the defense played well this week too in a defeat of Beavers. Beavers also did not play poorly this week, but Lagers were the better team and Lager join Mimes and Drow at 3-2. Beavers fall to a pretty undeserving 1-4 given their play.
Ramjets 14 - Old No.7 0
Jason's team was the only Middle Division team to lose this week which resulted in Old No. 7 losing their division lead. Perhaps more concerning for Jason, this is the second week in a row that the offense scored in the 20s. Ramjets' defense played well, finally, but the offense was still a mess.
Bill 31 - Flannel 18
Bill's offense continues to produce on odd numbered weeks. This week's result was not stupendous, but certainly good enough to down the hapless Flannel. Bill now has the best record in FLOF at 2-1-1, 1/2 game ahead of 6 other teams -- 3 of which are in his division.
Rednecks 34 - CAPO 15
CAPO played a good game led by the team's best offensive performance of the season, but Rednecks' had season bests on both sides of the ball and secured the win to stay in the hunt in the Middle division. CAPO remain in the lead in the Right division by 1/2 game over Flannel.
Malleus 30 - Hamburglers 0
This was the beat down of the week as the Malleus D scored 52 -- the most for any team so far this year. It is also Malleus' 3rd win in a row on 3 strong performances after their poor start to the season. This was the NY offense's 3rd consecutive game in the 30s.
