Week 7 Rankings
On A Roll
1. Drow (up 1)
Have scored 89 or more total points 3 weeks in a row and actually have not scored less then the mean since week 1. This is an offense driven team, scoring 58 or more on offense the last 3 weeks while the defense goes from good to bad week to week.
4-game means: Offense 64, Defense 27, Total 91
2. IC Lagers (up 3)
The offense was beset by injuries this week, ending a 3-game streak of scoring 54 or more on offense. If Westbrook is OK, Lagers should be OK. If he's not, they might drop from here.
4-game means: Offense 57, Defense 23, Total 81
3. Malleus (up 3)
Malleus continue a scary-consistent run. They have now scored 71 or 72 total points in 3 of their last 4 games. That other game they scored 85 (and lost). Avoiding bad games is a good way to stay competitive week-in and week-out.
4-game means: Offense 48, Defense 24, Total 72
Just A Stumble
4. Flannel (down 3)
Yes, having Peyton back did help. But Flannel may be settling into a more human scoring range despite Manning's return to the line-up. This team could continue to drop in these rankings unless someone decides to help Peyton on offense.
4-game means: Offense 43, Defense 29, Total 72
5. Rednecks (down 2)
The defense has been great for Rednecks lately. They haven't scored less then 28 on D the last 3 weeks. That's helped stabilize a team whose offense has been all over the place. Week 4 was the exception when both the offense and defense failed them, but that was a while ago and Rednecks look to be getting back into the top tier next week.
4-game means: Offense 45, Defense 31, Total 76
6. Hamburglers (down 2)
Speaking of good defenses. Hamburglers haven't scored less then 24 on D since week 1. That's a good thing, since the offense hasn't been performing lately -- scoring more then 36 only once in the last 4 weeks. How much longer can the D carry them? Can the O recover?
4-game means: Offense 33, Defense 32, Total 74
7. Ramjets (up 1)
Apparently week 6 was just a blip and not a return to early season woes. The offense put together their best game of the season last weekend and gave Ramjets 3 games of 70 or more pts over their last 4.
4-game means: Offense 49, Defense 21, Total 73
8. Old No. 7 (up 2)
The first time Old No. 7's offense tops 50 pts, they come back and score 71 the next week. After a bad stretch of games weeks 2-4 where they could not top 60 total pts, the Whiskey bottle has steadily improved scoring 88 total points last weekend.
4-game means: Offense 44, Defense 20, Total 69
I've Fallen Down And I Can't Get Up
9. Beavers (down 2)
The Beaver offense has scored more then 36 pts only once in the last 5 weeks. The defense has been keeping them somewhat competitive, but the offense has to meet them at least half-way to recover from this skid.
4-game means: Offense 33, Defense 31, Total 63
10. Mimes (down 1)
The offense hasn't scored 50 or more but once all season. The defense has kept this team competitive at times as well, but the offense has been consistently mediocre all season long.
4-game means: Offense 38, Defense 25, Total 62
11. Bill (up 1)
Last weekend was Bill's first decent game since week 2 -- the offense and defense both performed above mean for the first time since then. Probably a bit early to say this is a trend though.
4-game means: Offense 42, Defense 20, Total 58
12. CAPO (down 1)
The defense is still playing badly and the offense apparently can only compensate when Drew Brees scores like 40 pts. Brees is certainly capable but that's not going to be an every week occurrence.
4-game mean: Offense 36, Defense 12, Total 51
