Week 5 Review
Malleus 10 - Old No. 7 0
This game looked like it was headed for a 0-0 tie, but Thomas Jones picked up 15 points on Monday Night to complete Malleus' first-half sweep of the Middle Division and push the team to first in the division.
Malleus Grades: offense B, defense C, total B
Old No. 7 Grades: offense F-, defense A+, total C
Rednecks 32 - Bill 17
On the other end of the spectrum, Bill lost his third division game of the young season and Rednecks jumped into second in the Middle. Rednecks got their best defensive performance of the season this week behind Ware's best game of the season.
Redneck Grades: offense B, defense B+, total B+
Bill Grades: offense C+, defense C, total C
Beavers 31 - Flannel 2
The Left Division hammered the Right this week outside of one result we all saw coming. But Beavers' smack-down on Flannel was a big return to early form for Beavers. Flannel played well but Beavers put together their best game of the season and seem to have broken out of their two-game mini-slump.
Beaver Grades: offense A, defense A+, total A+
Flannel Grades: offense C, defense B+, total B+
Drow 45 - Hamburglers 35
Another slugfest that resulted in lots of points scored and a win for the Right Division team. Drow were led by a HUGE game from Roddy White and solid contributions from most of the offense. Countering another crazy game from Jarred Allen and leading to Hamburglers first loss of the season.
Drow Grades: offense A+, defense C, total A
Hamburgler Grades: offense B+, defense B, total B+
Ramjets 19 - Mimes 5
Mimes did not have a QB this week with Rivers on his bye and back-up Pennington recently injured. Without Rivers and still without Gore due to injury, we saw this result coming. That said, the much maligned Ramjets are beginning to prove that coaching may have been an issue in their early season woes as they record their second consecutive solid result and pull into first in the Right Division.
Ramjet Grades: offense B, defense C, total B
Mime Grades: offense F, defense A, total C-
IC Lagers 49 - CAPO 14
Lagers get their first win and CAPO continue their 4-game winless streak. Lagers deserved the win after their second good game in a row and best offensive production of the season. CAPO deserved the loss -- scoring under 50 total points for the 3rd straight week.
Lager Grades: offense B+, defense C-, total B+
CAPO Grades: offense D, defense F-, total F-
