Dramatic, FLOF Ownership Change!
In a dramatic and unprecedented move a FLOF owner has fired himself mid-season... actually mid-game.
The Maniacs are now officially owned by Chris Long. Mike Weisenburg is being hailed as both the villain and savior by a very confused Maniacs fan base that has been calling for change of some kind after a disappointing season.
For the rest of the season, the Maniacs will retain their name and helmet design and the last couple games of this season will officially count toward Mr. Weisenburg's legacy. However, Chris Long will begin GM and coach duties immediately. As soon as the season is over, I will switch ownership of the 2014 team over to Chris so that it will be a clean break but will leave it as is so that draft picks stay visible for that team.
The league thanks Mike for his stewardship of the most cursed franchise in recent FLOF memory. Jim Fleckenstein lasted a year with this team before Mike managed less than a year. Perhaps Roger's Ghost is mistaking owners for creatures and simply throwing them into the breach with no expectation that they live through the experience.
The league also thanks Chris for stepping up mid-season to begin his stewardship of a FLOF franchise.
