Week 11 Preview
This week has 4 games featuring teams with
the same record. There are only 4 games left and everyone (excluding Haydn) is
within a couple of wins of the other. Glad I don’t have to figure out the
tie-breaker scenarios this year.
Capo Di
Tutti Capi (4-6) @ Export Flannel (4-6)
This game
shouldn’t be as competitive as the record would indicate. Capo clearly has the
advantage in this one. I wouldn’t be shocked if Brees scores more than the
entire Flannel offense this week.
Prediction: Capo
Malleus
Maleficarum (9-1) @ Old No. 7 (4-6)
Malleus has
already clenched, so it is basically record padding at this point. Looking at
the matchups, I think 7 keeps it pretty close, but not close enough.
Prediction: Malleus
Murrysville
Drow (6-4) @ N.Y. Hamburglers (5-5)
The Drow has
been on a roll of late, winners of 3 straight. The Hamburglers should give them
a good game, but I like Drow to make it 4 in a row. Looking at the Drow’s
matchups, I wonder if we are getting ready to see another 100+ point offensive outburst.
Prediction: Drow
Gainesville
Random Acts of Violence (4-6) @Mighty Midtowne Mimes (4-6)
The Mimes got
the best contribution from last night’s game, dropping 16 defensive points on
Violence. Gainesville also looks to be severely handicapped by the BYE/injury
bug this week. Mimes should even their record this week.
Prediction: Mimes
Iron City
Lagers (5-5) @ Bill’s Team (5-5)
As far as
the stats and records go, these 2 teams are actually pretty similar. However,
the matchups favor the Lagers this week. Side
note: I know Cassel sucks, but Byron Leftwich?
Prediction: Lagers
Rednecks
(5-5) @ Medicine Hat Bronies (5-5)
Speaking of the injury bug, the Rednecks got
hit pretty hard last week. When Green-Ellis is your best hope for any offense,
you know you’re in trouble. I don’t think the Rednecks are going to put up much
of a fight against the Bronies.
Prediction:
Bronies

1 Comments:
The scenarios and tie-breakers are so bad with 4-games left that I gave up trying to figure out anything other then Haydn's #1 seed clinching scenario. Maybe next week I can figure out something about the rest of us.
