Week 7 Preview

On paper, this week looks like it should be a cakewalk for the league’s teams at the top, as most of the games are pitting squads with the best records against the ones with the worst. We’ll see how that actually pans out.

Malleus Maleficarum (6-0) @ Murrysville Drow (3-3)

I think Drow can hang offensively here, but the Drow’s league-worst D has been nothing to talk about. Against the league’s leader in both offense and defense, I don’t think Drow pulls an upset.

Prediction:  Malleus remains the league’s only undefeated

Export Flannel (4-2) @ Gainesville Random Acts of Violence (1-5)

Flannel has won 3 straight. GRAV is about equal in terms of power, despite the difference in records. I want to call the upset for Gainesville, but I think Flannel will take it a closer-than-it-appears type of game.

Prediction:  Flannel on the road

Capo Di Tutti Capi (1-5) @ Iron City Lagers (4-2)

Upset special! This looks like it should be a mismatch for Lagers, and the computer overwhelmingly favors this team. However, I think based on matchups - Capo is primed for an upset.

Prediction:  Capo stuns the Lagers

Old No. 7 (3-3) @ Medicine Hat Bronies (3-3)

These teams have identical records, but from what I can see, the Bronies have the stronger team. I don’t even think this one is close.

Prediction:  Bronies clobber 7 at home.

Bronies 36 – Old No. 7 12

 

N.Y. Hamburglers (4-2) @ Bill’s Team (2-4)

Hamburglers have one of the strongest teams in the league. Bill has one of the worst. Think that about sums it up.

Prediction:  Hamburglers kill Bill

Hamburglers 30 – Bill 10

 

Mighty Midtowne Mimes (1-5) @ Rednecks (4-2)

The computer is overwhelmingly favoring the Rednecks for this one. Looking at the matchups, however, I think it will be much closer than it appears. It would not surprise me if the Mimes posted much better numbers than usual.

Prediction:  Mimes give Rednecks a scare at home
