Week 3
Preview
Another Thursday night game is done and other
than Flannel, the results were mixed…
Murrysville
(0-2) @ Capo (0-2)
Well,
someone has to win. Capo has performed pretty well actually, but still hasn’t managed
to break into the win column. Drow has put out fairly consistent scores the
last 2 weeks, just too bad they have been consistently blah. Don’t see any
reason to expect much different this week.
Prediction: With
a Drow loss this week, Doug renounces fantasy football and formally introduces
the HLoF - Hockey League of Fun (provided they actually play).
Capo 26 –
Drow 17
Violence
(0-2) @ Old #7 (1-1)
GRAV fires
the first shot last night (such as it is) against #7 at home. Both team have
not been particularly strong and seem to be fairly evenly matched, making this
a hard game to predict. However, while I think GRAV has potentially the better
team, I am going to say that he remains on the losing end of this contest.
Prediction: ON7
gets just enough to eek out the win
ON7 18 – GRAV
14
Iron City
(2-0) @ Malleus (2-0)
Battle of
the unbeaten. Malleus is the more balanced team, leading with a strong defense
and very good offense, while the defense for the Lagers is not their strong
spot. I think that ICL will put up the points, but it won’t matter with the
defensive points Malleus counters with.
Prediction: Iron
City falls in a close one
Malleus 28
– Lagers 22
MHB (2-0)
@ Export (1-1)
The Bronies
have looked awful good the past 2 weeks with a lethal combo of RGIII and
Spiller. Flannel got off to a good start last night. Will that be enough? I
think this will be a high scoring game, but that Flannel has likely already taken
its best shot.
Prediction:
Bronies remain unbeaten
Bronies 46
– Flannel 30
Bill (0-2)
@ Mimes (1-1)
Not the
start from Cam Newton that Bill was hoping for, but at least Bennett was there
to pick up a little slack. Not going to help much anyway as the Mimes will have
a solid game from Rivers and Bush and even the D shows up this week.
Prediction: Bill remains winless
Mimes 34
– Bill 14
Ham (2-0)
@ Rednecks (1-1)
Rednecks start
the first of a two game home with Cruz last night, who was just okay. Hamburglers
have won their first 2, mostly on the back of a strong D and the advantage in a
tie breaker. No tie breakers needed this week. Rednecks are going to struggle
to keep up as Ham drops too much defensive points for an inconsistent offensive
to keep up with.
Prediction: Ham
moves to 3-0 and a solid grip on the Right
Hamburglers
23 – Rednecks 10
