Week 6 Preview
There are 7 teams heading into Week 6 with
3-2 records, with ½ the games on tap pitting them against each other. Guess
there is league parity?
Old No. 7
(3-2) @ Export Flannel (3-2)
Flannel has
fired first thanks to a Thursday night game, but it was nothing to talk about. The
computer was overwhelmingly in favor of Flannel, but I am taking 7 to rebound.
Prediction: 7’s
offense shows up this week
Old No. 7
30 – Flannel 22
Malleus
Maleficarum (5-0) @ Capo Di Tutti Capi (1-4)
Capo is off
to a great start via Bironas’s leg. Capo should be better than 1-4 (didn’t we
say this last year too?) but it looks like some byes will keep him from being
too much of a threat to knock off the Hammer.
Prediction: Malleus
remains undefeated, despite the inexplicable decision to bench Brady for Kolb
Malleus 28
– Capo 11
Iron City
Lagers (3-2) @ Mighty Midtowne Mimes (1-4)
Not feeling
this one for the Mimes. I am thinking the Lager’s rebound from a tough outing last
week and it likely gets pretty ugly.
Prediction: Lagers
outgun the Mimes
Lagers 44
– Mimes 14
Medicine
Hat Bronies (3-2) @ N.Y. Hamburglers (3-2)
Very close
matchup on paper. Even reviewing the matchups, I am having a hard time with
this one. I think it will probably be as close as it appears like it will be,
but in the end, Ham catches just enough of a defensive break to win.
Prediction: Ham rides home field and a little better D to
a win
Hamburglers
25 – Bronies 21
Gainesville
Random Acts of Violence (1-4) @ Bill’s Team (1-4)
Two
struggling teams looking to get on track. The matchups seem to favor GRAV in
this one, but Bill could throw a twist or 2 in there. Just too bad he gave up
on CJ2K right before he finally had a good game.
Prediction: Bill gets close, but not enough
GRAV 19 –
Bill 13
Murrysville
Drow (3-2) @ Rednecks (3-2)
Another matchup of 3-2 teams and another one
that is tough to call. The Rednecks have some good matchups and the D is
starting to come around, but when Drow’s offense is on, it is tough to
overcome.
Prediction: Dalton
to Green is too much for the Rednecks inconsistent defense.
Drow 29 –
Rednecks 23
