Terribly Bad Pre-Season Predictions
All my great formulas for predictions are going to be mostly crippled in this brave new world until we get some actual data on how the new scoring rules will shake out. Until then, here's some likely very bad projections. Until week 3 or 4, I think my projections are going to be largely rubbish. After week 4 they should improve to only partially rubbish.
1. Dynasty have the best team in the league behind Peyton and LeSean and are the preseason favorite to win it all this year.
2. Lagers are projected to edge out Drow for the Left Division crown behind the top 2 WRs in football, pick up a first round bye and lose to Dynasty in their 3rd FLOF Bowl appearance in 4 years.
3. Drow are projected to suffer at RB and get left with the first WC slot.
4. Rednecks could be fielding one of the best 1-2 punches at RB this year to claim the Right Division crown.
5. Old No. 7 seem to have a solid all around offense in place and the projection tool likes them for 5th and a wild card in a near dead heat with Malleus.
6. Malleus have one of the better QB-RB combinations but their WRs are sub-par and who knows what is going in for their flex position. Still a wild card bid is projected here.
7. Bronies seem solid but unspectacular all around on offense and that's good to just miss the playoffs in these projections.
8. Wolfpack look a lot like Bronies but the projections like them a little less and that's good for worst in the Left or 2nd best in the Right.
9. Hamburglers seem most likely to give Rednecks a challenge in the Right Division but look weak at WR to these projections.
10. Camp Adventure does not get much love from these projections, especially at WR and look to be the weak team in the Middle Division.
11. Bill are projected to fall far from their Division win last year mostly due to QB and WR deficiencies. But Bill seems to always find away to beat projections.
12. Mimes put themselves behind the 8-ball when their front office failed to file any franchising paper work. The league has no reason to believe the rumors that the Mimes front office have all been permanently rendered mute.
Clearly, there are numbers here so we can do projections for this upcoming week 1 despite how little faith I have in these numbers...
