Week 12 Playoff Review

Malleus, Beavers, Flannel, and Rednecks all punched some form of playoff ticket this past weekend.  Malleus have clinched their division title and a first round bye.  Beavers and Flannel remain favorites to win their divisions but have also clinched at least a wild card berth.  Rednecks have clinched a wild card berth.

Beavers need one more win or Lagers' loss to clinch the Left.  Flannel need either a win or Ramjet loss to clinch the Right.  Lagers and Ramjets must win out and have their respective division rival lose their last 2 to claim the title instead.

Lagers and Ramjets have the inside track for the last two wild card spots if they do not win their divisions outright.  One more win for Lagers will clinch a playoff appearance for them.  Losses by Drow, Bill, AND CAPO would also guarantee them a wild card spot at least.  Ramjets have less cushion but if they win out, the worst they can do is a wild card.  Otherwise, some of the teams in the below two groups could catch them.

Drow, Bill, and CAPO all sit at 5-7 currently and need some help to have a shot at a wild card spot.  If Lagers lose their last two and or Ramjets do not win out, these three teams could tie for the last wild card spot or leap-frog Ramjets.

Mimes and Hamburglers appear to be mathematically still alive for a wild card.  Both of their hopes rely on Ramjets dropping their last two games while Drow, Bill, and CAPO win no more then one each.  If that happens they could get into a tie with Ramjets and others for the last wild card spot if they win their last 2 games.

Since it very well may come down to a tie, the following teams have head-to-head advantages over others:

• Lagers have advantages over CAPO, Bill, Hamburglers, and Mimes.
• Ramjets have advantages over Lagers, Drow, CAPO (1-0), and Mimes.
• Bill have advantages over Ramjets, CAPO, and Hamburglers.
• Drow have advantages over Bill and Lagers (1-0).
• CAPO have advantages over Drow, Hamburglers (1-0), and Mimes.
• Mimes have advantages over Bill and Hamburglers.
• Hamburglers have an advantage over Drow.

The biggest game next weekend in relation to the playoffs: Ramjets @ Flannel -- not only is the division title at stake, but a Ramjets win crushes the playoff dreams of Mimes and Hamburglers and makes it that much harder for Bill, Drow, and CAPO.
