Week 1 Review
Hamburglers 44 -- Ramjets 9
Offense beats defense, usually. It did this time at least. Hamburglers' defense came up small but Hasselbeck and Tony Gonzalez and Reggie Wayne came up big and rolled over a Ramjet team that didn't get much of anything from anyone on offense. When Adewale Ogunleye carries your team you could be in trouble. No offense to Mr. Ogunleye.
CAPO 69 -- Flannel 0
The first of three shut-outs on opening weekend. But this was of the illegitimate variety. Not CAPO's fault, but Flannel didn't show for this game. That said, Brees' 42 was the second best QB total ever and Umenyiora's 23 led all defensive players this week.
Old No. 7 35 -- Bill 0
The first serious shut-out, thanks to a total team effort from Old No. 7's D. Reggie Bush did his usual no-so but the rest of Jason's offense was huge. Old No. 7 put up a combined 105 pts this week. Bill's defense was average this week and his offense was less than.
Malleus 31 -- Rednecks 29
Tom Brady and MJD formed a solid 1-2 punch for Rednecks but the defense was sub-par beyond Ware's efforts and allowed Malleus to steal one at home. Greg Jennings had a good game for Witch's Hammer but this was definately a bonus win for Hadyn.
Beavers 37 -- IC Lagers 13
This was a slugfest between two teams that really performed well in week 1. But AP did his Purply-Jesusy thing and overcame a game effort from IC Lagers in their first FLOF outing. This may have been a costly win for Beavers though as McNabb looks to have hurt himself. [Steve, want Vick?]
Mimes 17 -- Drow 0
Solid defensive efforts from both teams. Strong offensive production from the Mimes. Drow didn't get much from the RB or WR positions and that killed em.
