Draft Predictions
Time for the now annual pre-draft draft projections. Remember, this is some combination of what I think people will do and what I think they should do.
1.01 Rednecks are on the clock. They need help at RB and QB. But its not last year and the rookie talent does not seem to be as shiney. There are certainly some veterans out there and John has been known to find some good rookie WRs in the draft but I think I'd look to the sophomore cast-offs.
Ryan Tannehill (QB, Mia)
1.02 Dynasty. Pretty much have the same needs as Rednecks. We have no history for Jamien so I'm just going to take a flyer here and say he grabs best RB available but if he's a homer perhaps Dez Bryant?
Steven Jackson (RB, Atl)
1.03 Mimes. Darin has one WR on his roster so I think he grabs a safe veteran. Alternately, Darrin drafts a defensive player here. You know he could.
Vincent Jackson (WR, TB)
1.04 Maniacs. Another owner that we have no history on. Mike looks like he needs a QB to me. With Tannehill off the board I think Mike takes a safe veteran back-up.
Carson Palmer (QB, Ari)
1.05 Capo. So, best Giant available -- hat tip to Mr. Aubuchon -- Ryan Nassib? Marcus Davis? Andre Brown? Actually, lets go off script and pick up a WR.
Steve Smith (WR, Car)
1.06 Hamburglers. Another WR I think. Dez Bryant could be a steal here but Darrin discarded him in franchising and I don't know if Chris could stomach a Cowboy in his line-up so James gets him here.
Dez Bryant (WR, Dal)
1.07 Old No. 7. How did it take me this long to realize that Old No. 7 was drafting 7th? RB is the pick here and perhaps our first rookie selection.
Giovani Bernard (RB, Cin)
1.08 Bronies. Mike seems intent to build through the draft so I'm looking for the best rookie available.
Tavon Austin (WR, Stl)
1.09 Bill. Bill needs a WR too. He could go rookie, but he is in contention in his division so I think he goes for production this year.
Reggie Wayne (WR, Ind)
1.10 Malleus. Its been 3 years since Hadyn had a first round draft pick to call his own. I think he goes for a defensive player.
Jerod Mayo (DF, NE)
1.11 Lagers. Backup Running Back looks like the position to shore up, especially with all of the concern swirling around Foster's health lately. A young one to groom as the replacement would be best.
Montee Ball (RB, Den)
1.12 Mimes. Since Darrin took the WR earlier, you know defense is coming next. But maybe he needs another WR for depth.
Jordy Nelson (WR, GB)
