Playoff Round Preview
Some quick thoughts on the next round.
Drow @ Dynasty
A rematch of last year's FLOF Bowl. Both teams had better defenses than offenses this year and both teams were better earlier in the year then later in the year and kind of slide into the playoffs. Both teams averaged 113 points per game over their first 7 games and below 100 in their last 7 (99 per game for Dynasty and 96 per for Drow). And both teams put up 53 point clunkers in the last two weeks of the year -- Drow in week 13 and Dynasty in week 14. Drow recovered enough to put together the best score of the wild card weekend while Dynasty rested.
Lagers @ Rednecks
Despite Dynasty's #1 ranking these are probably the 2 best teams in FLOF. They were certainly two of the hottest teams down the stretch. Rednecks nearly topped 200 points in each of their last two games. Rednecks worst game all year was a 98 point effort in week 12. Lagers had a couple of weak games early in the season but since week 5, their worst outing was a 96 point game and they closed out the season averaging 123 points over the last three weeks. These are the two best offenses by far this season. The biggest difference has been that Rednecks had not only the league's best offense but also the league's best defense.
Note that I did not update EWP last week because Dynasty and Rednecks did not play but using data from the end of the season EWP likes the home teams this week.
